Valor Home Grand Opening. Lorain Rotary purchased the “Sun/Meditation Room” and one of the photos shows our President standing in front of the entrance to that room. As you can see, Lorain Rotary has a plaque outside the door. Secondly, there is a photo of the room. The third photo is of Carolyn handing Matt Slater, Director of Veteran Services at Family and Community Services, a donation from Lorain Rotary. It was a great event to honor our veterans.

GSE Visit
On May 23rd Lorain Rotary hosted the Group Study Exchange team from India. During that day they were treated to a morning field trip to Levit Jewelers, the regular noon meeting with lunch at The Rose Café and an afternoon boat ride around the Lorain Lighthouse and down the Black River. An added bonus in the afternoon were rides in Herb de la Porte’s unique amphibious car—thanks Herb! They all seemed to thoroughly enjoy their day.

The team, shown below, from left to right with President Tony : Dinesh Reddy (assistant professor in chemical engineering for over 9 years), Swaroop Kumar (Engineer for 2 years), Gopalakrishna Sadhu (chartered accountant for 30 years) and Khaja Mohteshamuddin (veterinarian for 3 years).
Bottom : Herb de la Porte and 3 GSE teams members after they cruised up the river.

Right : Denise Nail and Dianne Brehm enjoying a wet but fun boat ride.
