President’s Letter — Welcome to January 2020

 

Dear Rotarians,

 

Happy New Year! As I get older the years just seem to go by faster! And now half of my year as president is gone too. I was much relieved in December when Dina Ferrer said she would take over as president in July. As most of you know this will be her second term. We are already on the prowl for the 21/22 president. It really is a rewarding “job”, please consider making the commitment.

 

I am happy to say that as of halfway through my term I have not missed a meeting! I know that I won’t be able to say that at the end of my term since tax season is approaching. Past presidents will be filling in for me when I just can’t get away from the office. Please be supportive of them as they step back into that role temporarily.

 

I have never been one to make new years resolutions but this year I feel compelled to make one that is Rotary related. In 2020 I want to attend more Rotary events in our area and the district. I know how much time and effort we put in to our events and I am sure other clubs do the same. The least we can do is attend and support them like they do us. Is anyone else willing to make that resolution with me? I hope so!
